William Vaughan - Director of Bands
Mr. Vaughan is in his fifth year of teaching at Jobe Middle School. He previously served as Assistant Band Director at Linda Jobe Middle School and Donna Shepard Intermediate School for two years. His teaching responsibilities at Jobe include the Honors Band, Symphonic II Band, Beginner Band and Jazz Band, as well as assisting with the Symphonic Band.

Mr. Vaughan graduated from Texas A&M University-Commere in 2010 where he earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Music Education. While at Commerce, he studied trombone under Mr. Jimmy Clark and played in the University Wind Ensemble under Phil Clements and Jeff Gershman. He was also a member of "The Pride" Marching Band, where he served as drum major and intern. 

Mr. Vaughan's profession affiliations include Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association, International Trombone Association, and Kappa Kappa Psi Honorary Band Fraternity. Mr. Vaughan and his wife Danna currently reside in Arlington with their Border Collie Charlie.
Cory Barnes -  Assistant Band Director

Mr. Barnes is entering his second year as Assistant Director at both Linda Jobe Middle School and Donna Shepard Intermediate. He is the director of Jobe’s Symphonic Band, teaches beginning instrument classes at Shepard, and assists with other ensembles between the schools.  


Mr. Barnes holds a bachelor’s degree from Stephen F. Austin University (Axe 'Em), where he performed numerous times at renowned music conventions. He was also a member of the Crossmen Drum and Bugle corps in 2007, and a leading member of the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle corps in 2008, 2009, and 2011.
